On 25 April 2016, the centenary of the ANZAC landings will be commemorated on the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey.  Australia and New Zealand conduct three commemorative services at Gallipoli on Anzac Day, each year. The Dawn Service at the Anzac Commemorative Site is jointly conducted by both countries and is followed by the Australian's Memorial Service at Lone Pine, and the New Zealand's Memorial Service at Chunuk Bair

Visitors will stay overnight in the open-air Anzac Commemorative Site, with the one-hour Dawn Service commencing at 5:30 am. After the Dawn Service, most Australians walk 3 km up unsealed Artillery Road towards the Lone Pine Memorial. New Zealanders continue a further 3.3 km uphill along a bitumen road to Chunuk Bair. A moderate level of fitness is required as most visitors can expect to walk up to 10km over the commemorative period on 24-25 April, unless they have been approved as an Assisted Mobility pass holder.

(The one-hour Australian Memorial Service at Lone Pine commences at 10:00 am. Australian ticket holders will wait at Lone Pine until the conclusion of the New Zealand Memorial service at 12:30 pm)
