Used to get from and to the airport
Had to wait for a while at the airport for a driver.
On the return journey the driver was waiting at the hotel on time (5:00am!)

What time should I leave my hotel to catch a flight in Sabiha airport?

Istanbul, being a huge city, suffers from the traffic many hours during the day.  This is why you should leave your hotel, soon enough in order to catch your flight without having any problem.

The regulations say that the travelers must be at the airport at least 1,5 hours before the flight…So:

If your hotel is located in Sultanahmet area, you should leave your hotel 4 hours prior to your flight (the distance is almost 60km)

If you hotel is located in Taksim area, you should leave your hotel 3,5 hours prior to your flight ( the distance is almost 55km)

Hi,
If my scheduled flight arrival timing is at 0945 over at SAW and my international flight is scheduled at 1315 over at IST. Would i still make it with the transfer?

Dear Ang;
Please kindly note that you have only 3,5 hours between 2 flights and you have to travel from Asian side to European part of the city. If it is Friday it is almost impossible to be at the Ataurk Airport in 2 hours. Plus you have the custom process, check in etc. That means you need more time.

So that we strongly recommend you to book a later flight from Ataturk Airport.
