Sabiha Airport is one of the two international airports serving Istanbul, located in the Asian side of the city, between Kurtkoy and Pendik disctricts
The distance to Kadikoy is 32km and to Taksim 45km. This is why the total transfer time to the city center (Taksim) or to the old city (Sultanahmet), takes around 1:30-2:30 hours, always according to the traffic
There are two ways to get to the city from the airport:
1. By taxi: there are taxis right outside the terminal and they can drive you wherever you want. The only negative is that because of the long distance between the airport and the city center, the fare is going to be high. Moreover if you have many luggages, you must take more than one taxi.
2. By Havatas: you can also take a Havatas bus right outside the exit gate. These buses depart every 30 minutes and the ticket costs 14TL per person. It takes 1,5 hour to city center, always depending on the traffic.
